I’m William Bailey, and I’m proud to call Horry County and the Grand Strand home. I was born and raised in Horry County, and I spent more than twenty years working in public safety. I started as a police officer and later served as Director of Public Safety in North Myrtle Beach.

I didn’t go to Columbia to be a politician. I went to keep serving. I believe in common-sense leadership, accountability in government, and making sure our communities are safe. That means listening to the people of District 104, showing up, and doing the work.

In the State House, I’m focused on supporting law enforcement, protecting our values, and making sure Horry County has a voice that’s heard. I take that responsibility seriously, and I don’t take it for granted.

It’s an honor to serve you, and I’m grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me.

Welcome to South Carolina House District 104, home to more than 40,000 residents in Horry County along the Grand Strand.

District 104 includes communities from Conway to North Myrtle Beach and is one of the fastest-growing areas in South Carolina. Our local economy is driven by our amazing small businesses, tourism, and hospitality, with major destinations like North Myrtle Beach and a strong network of locally owned restaurants, shops, and service industries. The coast, great food, and quality of life continue to bring new families and businesses to our area.

I’m proud to represent this district and remain focused on supporting local jobs, strengthening public safety, improving infrastructure, and protecting what makes the Grand Strand such a great place to live.
